New Bracelet Changes Its Colour When Your Drink Gets Spiked

Bracelet Colour Drink Spiked

Should this be introduced in Malta?

If a drink has been spiked with common date rape drugs, the wristbands change colour within two minutes of exposure, warning the drinker before they take a sip.

To function, they simply require a tiny bit of liquid from a straw.

The wristbands will change color if the drink includes ecstasy (MDMA), ketamine, and the prevalent date rape drug Gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), which makes people drowsy.

Rohypnol, a substance that is frequently used in date rape, is one of the drugs that the wristbands cannot identify.
