On September 9th, Netflix announced that season 3 is officially underway, although 5 months later than planned (thank the Vid)… but looks like Season 3 might be making it to Netflix sooner than we think and should be released in January, just like the past 2 seasons in 2019 and 2020.

Since everyone is well-aware that the filming for the new season requires some pretty close contact, Gillian Anderson, who plays Asa Butterfield’s on-screen mother, shared how the cast and crew are tested several times a week. Oh, and the show has its own laboratory too!

As for the cast, Girls star Jemima Kirke will be playing headmaster Mr. Groff’s replacement and Harry Potter and Star Trek: Discovery star Jason Isaacs will also be joining the show.

And if that wasn’t enough excitement for you, the creator of the show, Laurie Nunn, also shared that she thinks Sex Education could run for more seasons, “I think I could do some more with them if we’re given the chance”.
