With Season 2 currently underway with Chris Van Dusen; Netflix and Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland have revealed that a limited series based on the origins of Queen Charlotte will be making its way to the streaming giant!
Queen Charlotte will be portrayed by Golda Rosheuvel, who we met in the first season of Bridgerton. Young Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury will also star in the show.
As per Netflix, the show will centre on the rise and love life of young Queen Charlotte whilst touching upon the stories of Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury.
Rhimes will serve as writer and executive producer alongside Betsy Beers and Tom Verica. In a statement, Rhimes shared, ‘As we continue to expand the world of Bridgerton, we now have the opportunity to devote even more of the Shondaland fold to the Bridgerton-verse’.
Meanwhile, details about the case and release date are yet to be revealed, so make sure to stay tuned as we learn more!
