With effect from today, the left lane in Hal Luqa Road is to be used only by those heading towards Paola, while the lane on the right is to be used by those heading towards Tal-Barrani Road, onto Santa Lucija, Tarxien, Zabbar, Zejtun, Marsaxlokk and Birzebbugia.
This means that those choosing the rightward lane will have to drive on a side which we usually not accustomed to driving, unless we drive in countries such as Italy and Germany. For this reason, Infrastructure Malta is advising people to choose their lane way ahead to avoid congestion at the diversion.
Friendly tip: Give yourself an extra couple of minutes if you will have an appointment in the South.
