It’s likely to get seriously wet and windy in Malta and Gozo, according to weather experts.
The Met Office in Luqa warned that we can expect rain showers on Sunday that may be heavy and thundery at times.
It said winds will also increase to Force 7 in places.
Malta’s number one weather site Malta Weather predicted a ‘miserable weekend’.
Others warned that there was a risk of hail in Malta and Gozo on Sunday.
Andrea Muscat from Maltese Islands Weather added: ‘Sunday will be characterised by a strong wind which veers from the South Southeast to Northwest over the course of the day.
‘It may reach gale-force late in the day.
‘Rain showers which will be heavy, thundery and with hail at times are expected throughout the course of the day.
‘Total rainfall is expected to be high, with the national average varying anywhere from 25 mm to 50 mm.’
Temperatures this weekend will stay mild, ranging from highs of 20°C to a minimum of 15°C.
