More Maltese success at bowling tournament in France

Malta’s top female bowler is celebrating another major success.

Sue Abela took home the silver medal after competing in the 8^th Track ISBT Open in France.

She came second after qualifying for the finals following a fourth place finish in the qualifiers with a 202 scratch average.

Sue, who trains at the Eden SuperBowl in St Julian’s, went on to play a brilliant 208 scratch average in the round robin, where she won four of her seven direct clashes.

The result was enough to earn her a silver medal.

Gold went to French bowler Jacqueline Faure who managed to win all seven direct clashes.
