Michela Pace will represent Malta at Eurovision 2019

Michela Pace will represent Malta at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The singer, 18, revealed she ‘hoped to make Malta proud’.

She won the honour to sing for Malta after winning the national final, which was held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali on Saturday night.

Michaela beat rival hopefuls Nicole Frendo, Leuellen Owen and Petra after wowing the crowd and the television audience with her powerful voice.

The song contest itself takes place in Israel in May.

Who is Michela Pace? 

Michela turned 18 on Friday and lives in Gozo.

She’s a pupil at the Bishops Conservatory Girls School in Victoria.

The song she will perform at Eurovision will be announced at a later date.

Malta has taken part in the song contest 31 times since 1971 but has yet to win.
