Meet Dorian & Albert, Two Kayakers Paddling From Malta To Sicily For Charity

At 5am tomorrow, Dorian Vassallo (62 years old) and Albert Gambina (60 years old), a duo known as ‘Kayak for Charity’, will be paddling from Malta to Sicily, circumnavigating Sicily and then paddling back to our Islands, in aid of Inspire Foundation!

The duo will be covering an approximate distance of 554.47 Nautical Miles (1026.88 km). Depending on the weather, the entire journey should take 20 to 25 days.

The crossing between Malta and Sicily should take around 12 to 15 hours. Thereafter, the pair will start kayaking around Sicily, stopping each night to put up a tent, rest, and resume their kayaking in the mornings! They will then crossover back to Malta.

Although the coastal part of the journey will be unassisted, Dorian and Albert will make use of an escort vessel for the crossing to and from Sicily.

This is all being done in an effort to raise €50,000! You can donate by calling +356 9983 5106, or send an email to [email protected]!
