Masturbating May Be The Key To Falling Asleep Faster

 

We all have those days where it seems like sleeping just isn’t in the cards for us that night. Whether it’s the heat cooking you alive or lying awake with a song looping in your head while you’re trying to force yourself to think ‘blankly’, we’ve all experienced that dreaded time between getting into bed and falling asleep. To make things worse, it’s usually before a day you actually need those 8 hours of sleep!

 

 

Good news is, GP and author Dr Jeff Foster has found a solution to falling asleep quicker and, if you ask me, it’s pretty much a win-win.

 

 

According to Dr. Foster, a little one-to-one bedroom session with yourself might be the key to a successful slumber. As he explained:

 

‘Sexual activity, usually that which results in orgasm, causes a release of multiple hormones, including dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and prolactin.’

 

 

All these hormones being released can ease you up for bedtime as orgasms can have a sedating effect on our bodies, making it easier to just nod off to sleep. So, either it’s with a partner or alone, it’s not the journey that’s going to get you to sleep, it’s the destination.

Although, the ‘journey’ with a partner is pretty tiring in itself, so that’s double sleepy points for you! I do strongly recommend leaving enough energy to at least get-up and have a shower after, or at least wash your hands!
