Chance Seneca, 21, from Louisiana, has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for kidnapping and attempting to murder a gay man he met on Grindr.

The Department of Justice stated that Seneca had planned a months-long scheme to find and murder LGBTQ+ individuals, starting in 2020 when he downloaded and signed up to Grindr. He met a man named Holden White, took him to an isolated house, attempted to murder him and attempted to dismember him.

Seneca admitted to police that he planned to continue murdering gay men until he was caught or killed.
