Man Arrested After Late-Night Senglea Shooting

 

The Police have arrested a 29-year old man after a late-night manhunt last night, following a shooting in Senglea. The incident took place late last night, at around 10pm at Two Arches Street in Senglea.

In a statement, the police said the man was involved in an altercation with a 23-year old woman, which led to the man allegedly firing shots towards the woman who fled the scene uninjured, which is when the man drove away from the scene.

 

 

The gun, which was allegedly used in the argument was found in the Mercedes used by the 29-year-old. The police also found an iron truncheon and what was described as a substantial amount of cash.

The bullet fired earlier was also found in the street.

A magisterial inquiry is underway.
