Man, 69, badly injured after hit-and-run in Qormi

Malta Police have launched a hunt for a rogue driver after a hit-and-run in Qormi.

A 69-year-old man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car as he tried to cross Mdina Road.

It happened after 3pm on Friday.

Police said the motorist fled before they arrived at the scene.

The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where is he was treated for ‘grievous injuries’.

Police urged anyone with information to come forward.
