He’s known around the world as the Maltese tenor.
And Joseph Calleja certainly didn’t disappoint Malta on Saturday night as he performed in front of a massive home crowd in Floriana.
He was joined on stage by Italian legend Andrea Bocelli, Welsh opera star Sir Bryn Terfel, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Eurovision singer Destiny and the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir.
This year’s concert was extra special for the Maltese tenor, 39, as he marked 20 years since making his musical debut.
Fans took to Facebook to praise his performance at The Granaries, with many telling him he ‘nailed it’.
Josette Nichols posted: ‘Fantastic concert Joseph. I came all the way from Australia to see you. I have to say I was not disappointed.’
