As per a press conference that was held on Tuesday, Health Minister Chris Fearne announced that 90% of the Maltese population is now vaccinated.
Given the uptake of the vaccine across the Islands, several mobile clinics will now come to a close – besides the one at the University of Malta, which caters daily for walk-in patients. Meanwhile, Gozo residents may call 145 if they wish to schedule an appointment for the jab.
However, Fearne also explained that a number of mobile clinics are expected to reopen in both Malta and Gozo once the government begins administering booster doses.

The health authorities also shared the relative vaccination data, which shows that roughly 410,000 people aged 12 years and over are now fully vaccinated across Malta and Gozo!
Those who are vulnerable or living in elderly homes are also expected to receive a third vaccine dose as of mid-September.
