A Maltese biker has died in hospital after being seriously hurt in a horror road smash.
Mark Vassallo, 53, passed away five days after a collision between his motorcycle and two cars on Marina Street in Msida.
He was pronounced dead on Monday, after nearly a week in intensive care at Mater Dei Hospital.
Mr Vassallo was married to actress Moira Muscat.
He was also a former television programme director at TVM.
Friends and fellow bikers took to social media to express their sadness over his death.
One said: ‘True gentleman and a good friend, you’ll be sadly missed brother, ride free, my thoughts and prayers are with your family.’
Another posted: ‘Terrible tragedy. Mark was an absolute gentleman and very talented.
‘He came from a lovely family, heartfelt condolences to them and all the rest of his friends. RIP.’
