Malta’s Prime Minister has been showing off a dramatic new look.
Joseph Muscat sported a beard in public for the first time as he made a speech in Valletta on Thursday.
It’s understood he decided to stop shaving for a month to show support for the ‘Movember’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness about prostate cancer.
The Prime Minister was attending the launch of the government’s new strategy to regenerate the Cottonera area.
He said: ‘What happened in Valletta must be repeated in Cottonera too, and the regeneration should encourage people to return to the Three Cities and not leave.’
