Marija Elena Borg is one to watch for the future.
The 24-year-old has made Malta proud after winning a top European essay-writing competition.
Marija Elena, who is an EU funding expert at the Malta Business Bureau in Valletta, beat more than 80 young people from across the EU to win the top prize.
She successfully pitched her essay on ‘What steps should entrepreneurs and government take to become more innovative?’
Marija Elena studied European Politics, Economics and Law at the University of Malta and was previously a pupil at De La Salle College in Vittoriosa before joining the Malta Business Bureau in 2015.
Malta Business Bureau CEO Joe Tanti praised her for her excellent achievement.
He added: Marija Elena has made us and Malta proud.
