Malta’s longest flyover is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
Infrastructure Malta said it has successfully completed the latest phase of the project.
In a Facebook posted, the government agency said: ‘we laid the concrete deck slab of another stretch of the 227-metre of the Marsa Junction project flyover, connecting Aldo Moro Road and Santa Lucija Avenue.
‘This is the longest structure of its kind in Malta.
‘We are working to open this flyover to road users by the end of this year.’
The €70 million part-EU-funded project includes the construction of seven flyovers at Marsa to eliminate the bottleneck at the Addolorata traffic lights ansd reduce traffic congestion in the area.
