Malta’s airport has celebrated a record-breaking July.
Almost 800,000 passengers took off or landed at Luqa last month, that’s up nearly 6 per cent on the same time last year.
On average around 25,700 people – the equivalent of the population of Malta’s largest town, St Paul’s Bay – used the airport on a daily basis.
Out on the airfield, it was also busy with more than 5,000 take-offs and landings throughout July.
Several new routes from Malta were launched last month, including services to Cardiff, Exeter, Genoa, Verona, Lamezia and Perugia.
