Malta’s Active COVID-19 Cases Stand at 2,500 after 221 New Cases Registered Overnight

After 3,274 swab tests which were carried out in the past 24 hours, 221 new COVID-19 cases were registered overnight, while 191 people recovered, bringing Malta’s total amount of active COVID-19 cases to 2,500.

Malta’s death toll meanwhile stands at 206, after an 84-year old man sadly passed away in the past 24 hours, at St Vincent De Paul Residence.

As to what regards the national vaccination programme, till yesterday, 66,334 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered, of which 21,160 were second doses.

Malta has so far registered 21,306 COVID-19 cases since March 2020, from a total of 680,433 swab tests. 18,500 people have so far recovered.
