Malta’s Active COVID-19 Cases Now Stand At 561


After 1,758 swab tests which were carried out in the past 24 hours, 59 new COVID-19 cases were registered while 50 people recovered. This brings Malta’s Active COVID-19 cases down to 561, which is slightly higher than yesterday’s cases but nevertheless maintaining a lower number than before.



Meanwhile, however, a 68-year-old female died at Mater Dei Hospital while COVID-19 positive, bringing Malta’s COVID-19 death toll up to 403.


As to what regards the COVID-19 National Vaccination Programme, till yesterday, 249,400 doses were administered, of which, 74,053 were 2nd doses.
