Malta’s Active COVID-19 Cases Drop To 51, As Prof Charmaine Gauci Brings The Regular Medical Bulletins To An End

 

Malta’s active COVID-19 cases have dropped to 51 after 8 more people recovered in the past 24 Hours. This brings the total of recovered cases to 562.

Since the first case on the 7th March 2020, over 71,000 swab tests have been carried out.

Closing off today’s media briefing, the Superintendent of Public Health, Professor Charmaine Gauci announced that, due to the fact that the cases are now being minimal on a daily basis, and due to the fact that the cases of local transmission have decreased, with the R-Factor being below 0.5, the Regular Medical Bulletins will be stopped, and regular updates will be given through other means.
