After multiple months on the red and orange list, Malta is back on the green list of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
The ECDC publishes a weekly map that categorizes each country by the number of cases and positive rate found the previous week. Malta was placed on the green list in the most recent map, after being off the list since July 12th, when it was classed as red due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne announced the news on social media on Thursday.

Green countries have the lowest infection and positive rates, followed by orange countries, and finally red countries. The countries that have been struck the hardest are listed in dark red.
Malta’s 14-day positive rate is now 0.89, with a weekly case rate of 93. The majority of Europe is on one of two lists: orange or red.
