Malta reacts to last night’s X Factor Malta eliminations

What a shocking elimination … I bet absolutely no one saw that coming. Alex’s category all in the bottom three.

Oh who are we kidding? It seems like every person on this island has some personal vendetta against Alexandra Alden and watching her contestants go was expected to say the least, and it absolutely baffles me why that is. Some have taken to their socials to express this specifically in the comments section of the elimination announcements.

Here’s how Malta reacted to last night’s episode of the X Factor Malta’s eliminations.

I was actually disappointed that Ed got kicked off first, and I wasn’t the only one…

Farewell Ed, we thank you and wish you all the best for your musical career.#XFactorMalta #EverybodyIsWatching

While I agree that Ed should not have left tonight. He took a risk with an original song, I think, should have ditched the Ukelele. He is a Multi instrumentalist. So he could have played something else.

The best one from the overs was booted off!

Ed’s elimination shows what a shitty music culture this country has. A singer songwriter eliminated first

Wish we could say people shared the same sentiment when it came to Paul though…

Dan mil bidu ma kellhux ikun hemm!! Francesca zgur kienet tifqa kull m’hemm.. imma soltu Ms.Alex Alden ma nafx x’tahseb xi kultant!! Ms. Alden, Another extraordinary farce from your end!!!

Overachieved li wasal s’hemm

That was not a difficult decision after all, for his voice is not even good to hear under the shower!

But it wasn’t all bad, there were the few humane commenters who talked some sense into the rest

Mhux ta b’xejn f Malta ghandna stat gholi ta bullying, fl-iskola, fuq il-post tax-xoghol, bejn il koppji imsomma kwazi kullimkien. Naqra l kummenti u nibda nifhem ghalxiex qeghdin f din is sitwazzjoni. Naqbel 100% mal freedom of expression pero ma naqbel qatt li biex tikrita trid tkisser u tfarrak lil dak li jkun. Mhux ta b xejn id depressions u affarijiet ohra ghar min hekk qed ikomplu jikbru f Malta. Kunu responsabli f dak li tiktbu u tghidu. Naghmlu mohhna hemm. Prosit kbira lil kulhadd

I agree that he wasn’t on the same level as other contestants but PLEASE be careful about the way you comment. Some people comment as if he has done something to offend you and that is not right!

And a common thought between all posts… it’s always Alex’s fault

The adventure ends here. We thank you for everything Paul Anthony#XFactorMalta #EverybodyIsWatching

I feel sorry for them. It’s all Alex’s fault for the way she approached the crowd every time…. and besides, Francesca Borg should have been there, and she wouldn’t have been in the position, with three of her contestant in deadline.

She had the weakest contestants – she ignored the public’s wishes episode after episode, and discarded the better contestants. People probably also didn’t forget what a hissy fit she threw last year, and that, coupled with her weak contestants is why this disastrous result came about. She needs to get off her high horse.

Francesca and Chantal would have still been there. They should have never been eliminated.

What do you think about last night’s elimination? Do you agree with these contestants being kicked off?
