Malta reacts to last night’s shock X-Factor Malta eliminations

We’re still not over it!

Malta’s still reeling as fan favourite Jasmine became the third finalist to leave The X-Factor Malta after receiving the fewest votes in the public vote, meaning she was automatically booted out.

Dav. Jr then lost out to Yazmin & James after the judges took it to deadlock and it revealed he had received the second-fewest votes.

Strangely enough, it seems that Jasmine’s performance of “Material Girl” failed to convince enough people to vote even though she was considered a favourite after last week’s performance of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” which is still number 1 trending in Malta and Gozo on Youtube!

And well… it’s safe to say that people were OUTRAGED by the result:

“What a disappointment! Did NOT see that coming!”

“WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL, SHE DESERVED TO STAY”

“WWWWWHHHAAAATTTTTTTTT?”

Some blamed the public for assuming she was safe:

“PEOPLE NEED TO VOTE! That’s the problem… we take it for granted that the good ones will pass…can’t believe Jasmine is eliminated”

And some even thought she could’ve gone all the way:

“WHAT? Jasmine is one of the best! She should be with the top 3 and not eliminated!”

“RIDICULOUS!!! She should have been at the final!”

Whilst others were just left stunned by the double elimination…

“SO TONIGHT WE LOST… JASMINE AND DAV JR???? LET’S RIOT!!!!”

As for Jasmine’s mentor Ira, she had this to say….

The two contestants took to Instagram to record a quick video message after being eliminated:
