A survey conducted by Eurostat has found that 93% of people in Malta between the ages of 16 and 74 streamed TV or videos in the first three months of 2020.
This confirms that Malta, alongside Finland, registered the second-highest percentage of people who streamed TV or videos. Last year, it was the Netherlands and Cyprus who recorded the biggest chunks of people who streamed TV or videos (95%).
Meanwhile, the lowest shares were recorded in Romania, standing at 28%, and Bulgaria, standing at 44%.
The survey also highlighted that 75% of those aged 16 to 74 that used the internet in the previous three months read online news outlets, newspapers, and news magazines. On the other hand, 74% watched internet-streamed TV or videos.
As for listening to music, the shares stood at 61%, whilst they were as low as 34% for playing or downloading games. The Netherlands had the highest share of individuals playing or downloading games (56%).
