German agency ‘Scope Ratings’ evaluated 63 countries around the world on how well they’re faring with the fight against the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Malta ranked among the top 5 countries, globally, according to this detailed analysis.
Malta is the only country in the European Union classified at such a high ranking.
The only countries surpassing us are Taiwan, China, Switzerland and Thailand.
Countries like Cyprus, Croatia and Romania are at the bottom of the ranking.
Malta earned its place in the top 5 after careful analysis from international ranking agencies like ‘Fitch’, ‘Moody’s’ and ‘Standard & Poor’s’, who remarked on the fact the pandemic had a minor effect on our economy when compared to other countries.
IMF had predicted that Malta would have the least negative impact on economy from all countries within the European Union.
