Malta ‘not as cheap as you’d expect’ in Airbnb top 20

Hunting for an Airbnb bargain in Malta this summer?

A new league table has revealed the lowest nightly rates around Europe – with Malta described as ‘not as cheap as you might expect’.

Valletta was ranked 17th out of 20 in the latest Airbnb ‘best value accommodation’ chart.

Average nightly rates in the Maltese capital cost around £54, according to research by mobile discount voucher app, Vouchercloud.

Iceland, with an average nightly rate of £112, was the priciest place to book an Airbnb abode followed by Sweden and Andorra.

Macedonia represents the cheapest offering with rates of around £26 per night, followed by Albania at £27 and Moldova at £28.

But then they don’t have magnificent views like this!
