It seems everybody loves Malta at the moment.
After winning several tourism awards – and accolades from holiday operators, travel websites, CNN and several international airlines – Malta has scooped another honour.
The island has been named the best place for a spring break by the London Evening Standard.
The newspaper, which enjoys a daily circulation of almost one million readers, ranks Malta ahead of Cyprus, Los Angeles, Sri Lanka, The Maldives and Dublin for a perfect spring getaway.
Evening Standard travel reporter Alice Howarth wrote: ‘Malta’s capital Valletta is one of the European Capitals of Culture for 2018 and there’s never been a better time to go.
‘With daily highs of 18 degrees, spend a few days exploring everything this historic city has to offer – from the Grand Master’s Palace to the Lascaris War Rooms – and then tour the rest of the country.
With a Blue Lagoon and some of the best diving in the Mediterranean – beach lovers won’t be disappointed.’
Here at 89.7 Bay, we can’t argue with any of that!
