Security scare outside Taylor Swift’s beachfront home

A man who allegedly claimed he ‘wanted to catch up with Taylor Swift’ has been arrested close to the star’s beachfront home.

David Page Liddle was apprehended in the Rhode Island town of Westerly after residents reported spotting a suspicious man.

The court heard he was carrying a backpack with a baseball bat sticking out of it at the time.

Police allegedly found a crowbar, screwdrivers, rubber gloves and other tools in man’s bag.

Security guards at Taylor’s mansion said they had seen Liddle acting strangely outside the front gate.

The 32-year-old from Des Moines has appeared in court charged with ‘possession of burglary tools’ and ‘possession of a weapon other than a firearm’.

He was remanded in custody.
