Lonely Planet Releases Its List For The Best Destinations For 2022

 

Back in 1973, British couple Tony and Maureen Wheeler published a guidebook entitled Across Asia on The Cheap. Little did they know that it would lay the foundation for a worldwide travel brand, the Lonely Planet…

 

 

With the world slowly reopening after the pandemic, travel is undeniably front of mind for many of us. Thanks to Lonely Planet and their new book, Best in Travel 2022, we have a guide of the next places to add to your bucket list! So, without further ado, here are the top 10 cities, regions, and countries, according to travel gurus Lonely Planet!

 

Top 10 Countries

Egypt

Coming in at the 10th spot is Egypt, home to the Pyramids of Giza, and one of the seven wonders of the world. Despite over 4,500 years of history, researchers are still learning more about these architectural marvels every year, like the 207-foot-tall Pyramid of Dozer that reopened last year!

Small yet humble, there are treasures to be had in the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’, not to mention less tourists as you visit the mesmerising Lake Malawi… the world’s ninth largest lake!
