What a comeback win! 18-year-old Maltese tennis player, Francesca Curmi, has struck again and made Maltese history as she makes her way into the Monastir finals, a leading tennis tournament in Tunisia.

Eighteen year old Francesca Curmi continued her impressive run in the Futures…
Francesca managed to beat W. Morvayova, who is WTA ranked 561, with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile, Curmi currently remains unranked and will now advance to face off against Poland’s Weronika Falkowska tomorrow at 9:30 pm.
The Malta Tennis Federation shared that ‘This was a historic victory as it enabled a Maltese tennis player to reach a final of a Futures event for the very first time.’

The rising tennis star managed to reach an impressive run as she beat several opponents ranked much higher than her, including international players from all around the globe.
The Malta Tennis Federation added, ‘We augur that she puts in another great performance and that this serves as a stepping stone for a bright future – one that will be a testament for all the sacrifices and the hard work she is putting in.’
