That’s right, three national records were broken in the three days in which the annual competition is held, which naturally abided by COVID-19 protocols and regulations to ensure everyone’s safety.
First off is Sasha Gatt, a fifteen-year-old, striving swimmer who set the national and age group record in the 800, and scored a remarkable time of 16:53:34 in the 1,500-metre freestyle.
This marks an improvement in her previous record by seven seconds, which Sasha set just a bit over two months ago in December. She finished second and won the silver medal.
Elsewhere, Thomas Wareing also beat a record he set for himself back in August of last year, with a time of 4:37:71 in the individual medley.
