Looks like some trolls are really blaming Lizzo for her juice after forcing her to defend her personal decision to undergo a 10-day juice detox…
Lizzo, who is known for promoting self-confidence and love, took to social media to share her experience about the juice cleanse she went on after upsetting her stomach with loads of spicy food and booze.
Yet unfortunately, some fans were quick to express their disappointment in her decision, arguing that they never thought she’d be one to give in to such ‘fad’ diets. A fan wrote, ‘something about this feels icky and diet-culture-y to me’.
Regardless of all these misguided assumptions, Lizzo took to Instagram and TikTok to respond to set the record straight that this was something she simply wanted to try and for her own health and well-being, NOT for weight loss.

Lizzo shared, ‘I feel like, as a big girl, people expect if you are doing something for health, you’re doing it for a dramatic weight loss, and that is not the case’. She added, ‘In reality, November stressed me the f*** out. I drank a lot, I ate a lot of spicy things and things that f***ed my stomach up…I wanted to reverse it and get back to where I was. I’m so proud of myself. I’m proud of my results.’
The singer also added that after the cleanse, her sleep has improved and so has her mental health and skin. She concluded, “I’m a big girl who did a smoothie detox and I wanted to share it with you guys. And every big girl should do whatever the f*** they want with their bodies.”
Basically, people need to mind their own business more. And if you didn’t know that Lizzo was an admirer of juice by now, then I’m guessing you’re not exactly a true fan…
