There is no doubt that Little Mix have become one of the biggest girl groups and bands in history. From their inception and eventual win on the UK X-Factor back in 2011, they have worked their way up with albums, sold-out tours and some of the biggest hits of this decade.
“Confetti” is Little Mix’s sixth album and follows the release of LM5 in 2018. The album was intended for initial release in summer 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.

This album is especially significant since it is the first album released after the girls broke away from Simon Cowell’s label Syco. A lot of controversy surrounded previous album “LM5” back in 2018 with critics commenting on the confusing mix of influences of that album.
The band members themselves talked about feeling controlled and restricted by the label. They have since signed up with RCA Records.

The not so subtle dig in the cheeky single Not a Pop Song, “I don’t do what Simon says/ get the message cos it’s read” really sums it up nicely. Other standout singles from this new album are the raunchy Rendezvous, the nineties influenced If You Want My Love and the ultra-catchy Bay hits Holiday and Sweet Melody.
If you’re a Little Mix fan, you cannot miss the Little Mix: LM5 Tour Film showing exclusively at the Eden Cinemas on the 21st and 22nd of November.
