Lady Gaga is set to perform the national anthem for the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on January 20th. Jennifer Lopez and Demi Lovato will also perform at the swearing-in ceremony.
Elsewhere, Andrea Hall, a firefighter, will lead in the Pledge of Allegiance, Amanda Gorman, first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate, will recite a poem, Father Leo O’Donovan will deliver an invocation and Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman will deliver a benediction.
Any additional artists are yet to publicly revealed and besides the swearing-in ceremony, a virtual parade and other events will be live streaming on January 20th.
Plus, Gaga has her own history with Joe Biden…She tweeted ‘Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the American people, you just gave the world one of the greatest acts of kindness and bravery humanity has ever seen… Nothing but love for our new Commander in Chief and the 1ST female VP elected to the White House. Also, way to go PA.’
This was a nod to the election-eve appearance Gaga made in Pittsburgh last November at a drive-in campaign rally, where she said, ‘Vote for Joe. He’ a good person.’
She also called Donald Trump ‘a man who believes his fame gives him the right to grab one of your daughters or sisters or mothers or wives by any part of their bodies.’

Back in 2017, Biden and Gaga also teamed up for a PSA about sexual assault, with Gaga tweeting out a video message of the two. Biden retweeted, saying, ‘Honored to work with a woman of great courage, my friend Lady Gaga. With her leadership, and your help, we can change the culture.’
We have no doubt Gaga will nail the national anthem!
