Rapper Kanye West is facing an investigation for an alleged battery incident, according to U.S. police.

 

 

 

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the altercation that took place at the Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks on January 27. Video evidence was provided to the police, showing the rapper involved in a confrontation with a driver.

 

 

The same day, a video of the incident was published by TMZ, showing West grabbing a woman’s phone after she tried to film him. The rapper left the scene before the police arrived and a crime report was taken.

 

 

 

No comment has been made by West or his representatives, and the identity of the woman involved has not been revealed. The rapper has recently been in the news for his controversial comments and Adidas’ decision to end its partnership with him for his Yeezy brand products.
