James Corden To Leave The Late Late Show After 8 Years

British comedian, actor and talk show host James Corden just announced that he’s leaving The Late Late Show next year.

Corden announced this during a recording of his show after hosting that same show for the past almost 8 years since 2015. He described this as one of the hardest decisions he’s ever had to make.

He said: “I never saw [the show] as my final destination and I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way, I always want to love making it and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there.”

Corden and the show were popularly known for segments such as Drop the Mic and Carpool Karaoke featuring celebrities like Camila Cabello and Adele.
