It Begins! LiDL Sneakers Up For Sale at €50

In what seems to be another welcome distraction from the pandemic, in the past days Malta has been hit by the LidlSneakers Mania!

The clothing line was originally released in Italy back in July and gained a lot of attention from the public. Perhaps it’s the colour, the style or the scarcity; needless to say, they sold out as quickly as they launched and pairs of trainers, sliders and socks started popping up all over E-bay.

Now that they have finally landed in Malta and in several other European countries, the hype is back. They immediately sold out in Malta with British fans begging the supermarket chain to sell them in the UK. As with most other countries in Europe, people are buying the coveted merch in order to sell online to less fortunate individuals who don’t live near a Lidl store – as one Maltese user posted this morning – selling them at €50!

It is still unsure if we will be getting more of the limited edition merch in Malta but if you do want to get your hands on some trainers, there are plenty on E-bay. The bright yellow, red and blue trainers retail for only €12.99 but are selling online for €50…and more probably!
