“In The Coming Days We Will Be Deciding On New Travel Destinations” – PM Robert Abela

Addressing a press conference to launch Aircraft Leasing Malta, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that it is going to be crucial to increase the countries for which the Malta International Airport will be open for business.

As things stand on the 1st July when MIA reopens, Malta will be accepting flights from 19 Countries.

This, PM Abela said represents around 20% of Malta’s tourism sector, adding that in the coming days decisions will be taken on which destinations to add to the list.

“The health and safety of the people will remain at the forefront of any decision, which is what I kept in mind over the past three months,” Dr Abela said.
