IN PICTURES: This is How The Ferry Terminals In Cospicua and Sliema are going to Look Like

 

Two Identical Projects are currently underway in Cospicua and Sliema. Infrastructure Malta is creating two new landing sites, with sheltered waiting areas,  as well as safer embarkation ramps, for those commuting between Cospicua, Valletta and Sliema.

 

 

 

The first phase, is the laying of underwater pillars (pictured below, in Cospicua). These pillars will hold the whole structure. Beneath the structure, large boulders will be placed, to act as a breakwater when the waters are rough.

 

 

The same thing is happening in Sliema, while in Marsamxett, an additional berthing area will be created, as well as a small breakwater.

 

 

Infrastructure Malta, in a post on Facebook said that this project which costs around €5 Million, is an EU-funded project.
