The Historical Italian Naval Ship Amerigo Vespucci, which is used as part of the Marina Militare’s Navy School, sailed around Malta and Gozo yesterday, as part of the education campaign for the 1st Class of the Naval Academy of Livorno.
As usual on the naval units of the Navy, the 106 official students and the crew took part in the suggestive “cerimonia dell’ammaina bandiera”. The masts of the ship were illuminated with the colours of the Italia Flag – the tricolore, and it simply looked GORGEOUS!
This year’s training activity is dedicated to all Italians who have lived through the difficult and challenging time of the COVID-19 Pandemic and, therefore, every possible opportunity of close passage will be seized to greet the communities along the coasts lapped by the vessel.
Voglio condividere con voi queste immagini spettacolari! Lo Stromboli, "il faro del Mediterraneo", saluta con sbuffi di lava #NaveVespucci e la nostra Marina Militare 🛳️🌋
