Earlier today, friends and family laid Emily to rest, after she lost her battle to post-op conditions a few weeks ago.
Emily was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma back in January.
The nature of her cancer required her family to go to the UK for treatment, and following 5 rounds of chemo-therapy, Emily underwent an operation to get her tumour removed.
While the surgery seemed to be a success on the day, it seems like Emily’s condition only got critical over the next couple of days as complications arose.
All of Malta grieved the loss of this little angel, and today, her burial was followed by a very emotional post shared by her mother Vanessa.
“Thank you to all of those who joined our angel Emily’s celebration of life. Thank you to all those who have helped in one way or another to make the celebration she deserved possible.
“I miss you my sweet girl, and you will always hold a very special place in my heart. I am no longer afraid of dying my darling, because I know I will find you there, waiting for me. Thanks to you, I’ll do my very best to lead the best life I possibly can, so that God will save a place for me right next to you.
I will love you forever, from your mummy.”
Rest in peace sweet angel, Emily.
