Most of us know may know him as the ginger-haired, clumsy, and comical Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, but to one very special tiny person, he has been known as ‘Dad’ ever since this new title was bestowed upon him back in May!
For six months, neither him nor his partner of nine years, actress Georgia Groome, had shared any information on their new arrival; however, this all seemingly changed.
In an interview back in 2017, Grint had said that he’d never even used Facebook and didn’t feel the necessity to be on social media platforms since he wouldn’t know what to say or post.
Well, it seems that the actor has finally found something worth posting about: his adorable six-month-old daughter!
On Tuesday, Grint took fans by surprise as he made his Instagram debut by posting a photo of him holding his daughter and also unveiling her unusually endearing name, with the caption “Hey Instagram… only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert.”
The sweet post has already rallied up over a million likes in less than a day, whilst his account has attracted a whopping two million followers overnight.
His account profile picture/icon will also be greatly appreciated by Harry Potter fans as it displays Dame Maggie Smith, who plays Professor McGonagall in the franchise, kissing Grint’s cheek affectionately at the premiere of Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince.
Who knows, maybe the actor will start sharing some never-before-seen photos and footage from the Harry Potter set? We sure hope so!
