Hamrun Tragedy: Four Persons to be Charged in Court Today

Nearly a month and half since that terrible Monday 2nd March tragedy which claimed the life of Miriam Pace, as her residence collapsed onto a construction site, the Police have confirmed that four persons will be charged in Court today, with Mrs Pace Involuntary Homicide, as well as with causing damages to other people’s property and with failing to abide by Method Declarations, amongst other charges.

The four persons are the architect of the project, 36; the Site Technical Officer, 72; a 37-year old Contractor, and a 42-year old construction worker.

This development is possible after the investigators collected enough evidence, and following the completion of the Magisterial Inquiry which was led by Dr Claire Stafrace Zammit LL.D.

The men are expected in court today, at 12:30 in a sitting presided over by Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras.
