Gozo is renowned across the world for its diving.
But now some diving schools are calling for the shattered remains of the Azure Window to be rebranded as the Azure Reef.
The famous limestone arch hit the headlines around the world when it collapsed during a storm off the Gozo coast back in March.
Since then, the huge slabs of rock sitting on the sea bed off Dwejra have become home to thousands of fish, eels, octopus and other marine life.
Some diving centres in Gozo claim the site could become a huge attraction for diving enthusiasts from all over the globe if it was promoted as the Azure Reef.
Mika Tanninen, who has created a stunning new underwater video off Dwejra, said: ‘The site is now much more interesting for divers as the Azure Window has collapsed and generated huge boulders with a lot of swim throughs.’
