The first Qala Dog Park has been inaugurated in Gozo earlier today, with a value of roughly €25,000, as funded by the Ministry for Gozo.
Through the Eco-Gozo Directorate under which the Animal Protection section falls, the Ministry has developed part of the Family Garden into a dog park. The park is split into two sections, one for small dogs and another for large dogs.

While inaugurating this park together with the Qala Local Council, the Minister for Gozo, Clint Camilleri, stated that the goal has always been to have a suitable play for dogs to run around and exercise.
Further, the park is equipped with several accessories so that dogs may exercise freely, including ramps, tunnels, obstacles, a small pond, and hoops, among other things. There’s also a drinking water fountain for dogs.
The park is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday.
