Gozo Channel has announced it will run extra ferry services next week.
It’s boosting the morning timetable to cope with demand – and because one of the company’s ships will be out of action for four days.
The Malita, which was launched in 2002, will be at the dry dock for routine maintenance work.
The ferry operator said it would run a revised schedule from Tuesday 8 May to Friday 11 May, as follows:
‘We will also ensure that the Ta’ Pinu is operated with both hoistable decks down so that it can cater for the heavy traffic as and when necessary.’
Gozo Channel currently uses three large double-door ferries, Ta’ Pinu, Malita and Gaudos.
The Malita can carry 900 passengers as well as around 138 cars.
