From the 18th June, Residential Homes For The Elderly Will Allow Visits Without The Use Of Perspex Or Glass Barriers

After consulting with the Public Health Authority, the Social Care Standards Authority issued a new circular to all residential facilities for older persons. In this circular, the Social Care Standards Authority set out a detailed plan with precautionary measures so as from the 18th of June, homes can allow relatives to visit without the use of perspex/glass barriers and from the 1st of July, older persons requesting to go out of the Home will be allowed to do so.

Currently, this circular does not apply to Saint Vincent De Paule Residence, but applies to Government, Church and Private homes for Older Persons.
