Francesca Curmi FLIES to ITF Monastir Quarter Finals!

Looks like there is no stopping local teenage Tennis prodigy Francesca Curmi as she advanced to the ITF Monastir Quarter Finals, after what was quite a match in Tunisia, earlier today.

Curmi won two sets in the round of 16, where she played against Oana Gavrila – a round which, according to bookmakers, was to be won by Gavrila.

In fact, Malta’s Francesca Curmi has come quite a long way in this tournament, against all odds, having sailed through all the stages and will now face the winner of Risa Ushijima vs Yasmine Mansouri in the quarter-finals.

Apart from all this, Francesca is also the first-ever Maltese athlete to qualify for the Rolland-Garros Juniors, having played also in the Wimbledon Juniors.
